I'm so close to tagging my photo to my location, so close; but for now, at this moment, I'm just gonna "tag my name upon your windowpane".
Thanks, Slug, for your sound advice when I was the tender age of 16, ten years ago.

Thing 15: Podcasts
podcast.com
straight-forward and in-your-face podcasts.
I selected the "music" category, peeped a few podcasts and found it intriguing to use this tool as a benefit for my own band.
Sweet - can't wait to get started.

Thing 14: Research Project Calendar
Maybe I'm just too old-school, but it seems the more I (personally) get involved with the advancements of technology, the more my thought-process becomes stumped and my judgement clouded.
I think I'm just gonna research the old way - get a library card and pull out some books from the shelves.

Things 13: Online Productivity Tool
I chose igoogle as my start page since google is kindof a one-stop shop - I like to keep things simple and not lose myself in internerdland. Here I have current weather, featured artists of the week, upcoming shows, all the goodies.
To be honest, I'm not gonna use an online calendar. I already tried that with Google, and I just simply couldn't keep up with the updating my calendar events. True, the "alarms" were nice - but that's what my Blackberry is for and it's attached like an extremity. Not to forget my life is survived by the practice of "post-its". Thanks 3M.
I will definitely be using zamzar - the ability to convert files is essential.

Thing12: Tagging
First of all, I admire the mere reference to grindcore in the beginning paragraph. Thanks for making me feel so at home.
The social bookmarking site "delicious" is pretty sweet. I like that I can tag any of my favorite obscure sites such as ...grindcore...from any computer!

Thing 11: Online Creations
Check out Big Huge Lab if you haven't already. It's a pretty sweet tool - let's you design a "magazine cover" not only to promote your sweetest, latest creations but to mess with your friends and photoshop images of them that totally aren't true. And then make millions of copies and flyer it.
Time to get busy!
Also efolio Minnesota is a great tool for professionals to allow their patients, students, colleagues, etc to see just how qualified they really are. And mostly just a place for them to enlarge their already large egos.

Thing 10: More Flickr, fluckr.
http://krazydad.com/colrpickr/
a "mashup?" that has lots of way pretty colors. way pretty. i get pretty. i don't get mashups.
Mashups, APi's, huh?
I'd love to be able to shamelessly self-promote; but my brain is just not wrapping around this.

Things 8: Wikis
So I totally get the wiki: need not have knowledge of code or (any knowledge, for that matter) to post/edit to a wiki (website). The information is constantly changing by different users. That's great. Very useful.
However, HELP! I clicked the link the the Ai wiki and found a page that was updated over a year ago and did not find any links to any wikis.
Hmm....

Thing 7: Online Collaboration Tools
"Rock!"
Homeboy on the Commancraft Video somewhat insulted me with that overrated comment, pairing it with the devil horns. Us metal heads don't just throw around the horns loosely. Ok nevermind. Must have sense of humor is you're going to listen to death metal. And throw up the horns.
Moving on.
Google Docs.
Phew. I am all about simplifying things. And anything that requires one less click of a mouse or one less key to type - I can spend my time using my hands for important things. Like throwing up the horns. Or alleviating the excruciating constant pain that is carpal tunnel and tendinitis in both hands. Yay!
So, Google...thank you.
And Dropbox, you're pretty cool, too. With you, I don't need to worry about storing excessive files in an external hardrive, or making my computer feel uncomfortably clostrophic with files and documents or ever worrying about my information getting completely lost in the worldwide web...forever! True, my documents may be stored in the worldwide web, but there, as long as they are in your hands; er, box...I never have to worry.
Actually, Dropbox - I think I'm beginning to crush hard on you. And you just leave me begging for more... I might just have to throw down the $9.99 a month and upgrade you to 50GB. So hot.

Thing 6: Digg & Reddit
I was more than eager to dive right into Digg - however after 20 minutes of ever-so-patiently waiting for my confirmation e-mail, I gave up.
Digg, you can come to me when you're ready. I'm done waiting around for you.

Thing 5: Beyond MyFaceSpaceBooking
Woah. And Plurk is for the beginner, and not Twitter?
Plurk = lamer than facebook, not as sleazy as myspace, yet way scarier than those aforementioned combined. I'm lost and wanna go home.
Twitter - I may just submit and take your hand by the lead.
But I'm spreading myself too thin! Ain't none of ya'll can't have none of this!

Thing 4: Social Media
Started on MySpace, then ventured out into the world of facebook. Found it to be rather foreign and mostly lame. So I crept back into the sleazy world of myspace. At least there I can p-l-u-g my band, NAILED SHUT in a manner that doesn't deny great layout and dowloadable songs at your fingertips. And then back to the foreign world of facebook where the creeps of myspace have now taken over.
And now this: join a professional networking group. I chose "plaxo" - as it seems a little less, hmm formal, than LinkedIn. And until I have bragging rights as an Art Director at a leading ad agency in the cities, I think I'll lay low in the "unholy crossbreeding" as it was coined, of Plaxo.

Thing 3: Online Communication
In this new age, I'm not surprised to have my tuition balance, grades, school news and upcoming events at my disposal. In fact, shouldn't it be expected?
'cause if I didn't have it - my academic life would be in poor, poor standing.

Thing 2: Set Up an RSS Account and Add Feeds
Watched the video, set up the account then ventured off into the good ol' world-wide web and had to actually search for some of my "favorite" websites. Is it bad to not have any favorite websites? Is it bad that I don't want to overstimulate my brain with useless information at every second of the day? Such as the case with social networking sites - really, I could have survived the day without knowing Kristin "got the kids down for bed and was not going to take a shower, finally!!!!"
However, I searched (mostly briefed the suggested sights provided by Google Reader. I added as many as up into the double digits, I believe...however, don't see them posted to my page! Help!
Aside from not caring a whole about constant updates from enless sources - it's kind of nice to be able to click the RSS link on any site, and have that information streaming directly to you, rather than manually searching.
