Thing 16: Geotagging

I'm so close to tagging my photo to my location, so close; but for now, at this moment, I'm just gonna "tag my name upon your windowpane".
Thanks, Slug, for your sound advice when I was the tender age of 16, ten years ago.

Thing 15: Podcasts

podcast.com
straight-forward and in-your-face podcasts.

I selected the "music" category, peeped a few podcasts and found it intriguing to use this tool as a benefit for my own band.

Sweet - can't wait to get started.

Thing 14: Research Project Calendar

Maybe I'm just too old-school, but it seems the more I (personally) get involved with the advancements of technology, the more my thought-process becomes stumped and my judgement clouded.
I think I'm just gonna research the old way - get a library card and pull out some books from the shelves.

Things 13: Online Productivity Tool

I chose igoogle as my start page since google is kindof a one-stop shop - I like to keep things simple and not lose myself in internerdland. Here I have current weather, featured artists of the week, upcoming shows, all the goodies.

To be honest, I'm not gonna use an online calendar. I already tried that with Google, and I just simply couldn't keep up with the updating my calendar events. True, the "alarms" were nice - but that's what my Blackberry is for and it's attached like an extremity. Not to forget my life is survived by the practice of "post-its". Thanks 3M.

I will definitely be using zamzar - the ability to convert files is essential.

Thing12: Tagging

First of all, I admire the mere reference to grindcore in the beginning paragraph. Thanks for making me feel so at home.

The social bookmarking site "delicious" is pretty sweet. I like that I can tag any of my favorite obscure sites such as ...grindcore...from any computer!

Thing 11: Online Creations

Check out Big Huge Lab if you haven't already. It's a pretty sweet tool - let's you design a "magazine cover" not only to promote your sweetest, latest creations but to mess with your friends and photoshop images of them that totally aren't true. And then make millions of copies and flyer it.
Time to get busy!

Also efolio Minnesota is a great tool for professionals to allow their patients, students, colleagues, etc to see just how qualified they really are. And mostly just a place for them to enlarge their already large egos.

Mashups, APi's, huh?
I'd love to be able to shamelessly self-promote; but my brain is just not wrapping around this.
